Takra, Ayurvedic Buttermilk

Takra is a wonderful drink for the summer as it helps the body fight dehydration. Due to the added salt, it is packed with electrolytes magnesium, potassium and calcium in addition to the high water content and the cooling spices of cumin, coriander and fennel.
 During the heat of summer, a glass of Ayurvedic buttermilk can offer some much needed relief and rejuvenation.
Ingredients:
3 cups of water
1/4 cup of plain yogurt (or any plant-based plain yogurt)
1/2 tsp. of cumin, coriander and fennel powder mix
1 pinch of Hymalayan pink rock salt
garnish with some coriander leaves
 
Blend on HIGH for 60 seconds and enjoy.
Drink it cool, but not cold to not extinguish the digestive fire.
